Do you take insurance?
At this time, we are not in-network providers for any insurance carriers. However, we can provide you a superbill (that contains diagnostic and treatment codes) to submit to your insurance. Insurances provide some reimbursement for speech therapy services. Please contact your insurance directly to verify your benefits for speech therapy for an out-of-network provider prior to starting services.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is collected at the time of service. We accept payment in the form of cash, check, or Zelle.
Where do you conduct therapy?
We come to you! We believe that your loved one has greater success when services are conducted in their naturalistic environment.
How long will my child attend speech therapy?
Therapy duration is dependent on several factors: severity of impairment, presence of existing factors (structural deficits, behaviors, concomitant disorders), motivation of client and family, and compliance with home programming.
Is an evaluation needed before receiving any treatment?
Yes. Evaluations are critical components of the therapy process. It allows us to determine our personalized plan of care, as well as identify the underlying issue of your loved one’s challenges.
What are OMDs and what is myofunctional therapy?
Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) are atypical patterns of orofacial and oral muscles that impact structural growth, breathing, chewing, swallowing, and speech. Myofunctional therapy focuses on the re-training of the orofacial musculatures to move and function appropriately. It assists in the elimination of any negative oral habits (thumb sucking, nail biting, prolonged pacifier use), tongue thrusts, low oral rest posture, open bites and malocclusions, and airway problems (snoring, mouth breathing).
